1. **1983**: Dolly Parton’s hit single “Islands in the Stream,” a duet with Kenny Rogers, reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart.

2. **2005**: The 39th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards were held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Among the winners were Gretchen Wilson, who won Top Female Vocalist, and Toby Keith, who won Top Male Vocalist.

3. **2011**: The 41st Annual Country Music Association Awards were held, with Miranda Lambert winning four awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for “Revolution”.
